Hobby streak day 125 Today I just had time for some washes and a little bit of rust/damage effect on the left shoulder. I'm trying a mix of NMM and TMM, at least to guide the eye to where the reflections should be.  Tomorrow is a holiday, so 🍻.

Hobby streak day 124 Couldn't help myself and now he's put together. Did some metallic edging and continued to mute those carnival colors a little bit. More work to do yet!

 Just some washes today

Hobby streak day 122  Well, he's got colors now!

Hobby streak day 121 Today I continued to put colors on the Dread arms. It looks so colorful that I worry it'll look silly. Got to trust the process. More tomorrow.

Hobby streak day 120  The dok is finally ready for ya!  When I got the box, I felt he was going to be my favorite. Something about his smug face.  Don't know if I feel that way now, but I'm passed with the result. I also started putting colors on the Dread. A lot of fun, just putting down colors randomly. A bit intimidated, but excited all the same.  And I did the base for the final nob that my girlfriend wanted to do. So it'll be a varied bunch when all is said and done.

Almost done, I swear (to myself). He just needs some highlights and a base. Wanna finish that tomorrow morning so I can get started on the *gulp* Deff Dread.

Today I spent some time putting greens on skin and blood in vials. The blood was an interesting step, though I'm not sure I achieved the effect I was going for.
Imagen
Hobby streak day 117. Got started on the metallics and the blood tubes around him. Very scared of painting the blood vials,  we'll see how we do there. Painting the skin last, I don't know why but lately I've been feeling intimidated by that. Hopefully tomorrow we're done!

Hobby streak day 116.  A couple more colors, and so washes. Feeling a bit down lately, I need to get back on the horse. Hopefully tomorrow.

Hobby streak day 115 Started with the base colors on the dok. So many little gizmos everywhere, and a bunch of colors all over the place. He's gonna be great, but deciding what to use where wasn't all that fun, to be honest.  More to come tomorrow

Hobby streak day 114. Very Monday kinda energy today.  Finished this guy up, he's going to lead my orks for now, I'm in love with him. Tomorrow we start on the dok!

Hobby streak day 113. Almost finished with this guy, he just needs the final yellowish glaze. We had some visitors over, so he'll have to wait until tomorrow.
Imagen
Hobby streak day 112 Put some colors on this big boy. Not sure about the squig yet, but that's something for tomorrow me. Now, I deserve a beer.  Cheers 🍻

Hobby streak day 111. Well, he's finally finished! I really tried to smooth the hues on the skin, and I settled on a nice rusty green for the shaded areas. So that's 5 greens total for the skin. I've got issues.  2 more nobs to go.
Imagen
Hobby streak day 110 Well, he's on his base. The metallics are also done. Tomorrow the skin, and we'll call him ready.

Hobby streak day 109 Just a little bit of work on this guy today.

2nd nob is done. I think that for the next one I'm going to do the warts in orange, green and yellow. But I love this guy's 80s metal vibe. I'm starting to lean heavily that way for my orks, It's going to eventually be a garish, flashy mob. Can't wait. I put the first colors on the next one as well. Here he is, waiting while his buddy gets his glamour shots taken. Also, we put the order for another start collecting, and some grots. Now we wait!
Imagen
Hobby streak day 107 Still not done! I thought this was going to be an easy rush to the finish. Yet here he is, still withouth his warts. So tomorrow, tiny dots day.  Happy with him, though.

I love sundays like these

Hobby streak day 106  Lovely day. I finished my first nob, super happy with him. The process was similar to the boyz, but with nuttier base colors. Added the warts at the end, in orange, jade and neon green. I like it better this way.  Decided to start on the next mini, at least put some colors on it, ended up getting carried away and would have finished it if the light didn't betray me.  Going really colorful with my basecoats, gotta up that a bit. He'll be done tomorrow. And finally, yesterday I got my paint bottle shelves up (or got them installed, more like). There's another one coming next weekend. Everything es much more comfy now.

Need sum dakka, boss?

Hobby streak day 105 Back on the (battle) wagon! After a couple of low event days, today I put paint on bristle and finished... a grot. Still, that's one less model and I like how it turned out.  This time I tried adding the orange and jade dots on top of the skin instead of under it. I think I like it better this way. We'll see how it goes on a bigger model.  Speaking of, nobz tomorrow!
Hobby streak day 104.  Not much to show today. Just put some colors on the ammo runt, but nowhere near done.  I drilled all the barrels, though! That was driving me nuts.  Back at it tomorrow.

Hobby streak day 103. Midwinter minis' Orky neighborhood is done! This was a pleasure to build. One of those simple, effective things to build where you see progress consistently and as a result, feel encouraged every step of the way. I know I'll eventually go back to it and build some more.  Tomorrow, back to orks!
Imagen
Hobby streak day 102 Did the weathering on the walls and the woods. This was a lot of fun, and I can see myself doing more of these in the future. Now, to let it dry.
Imagen
Hoby streak day 101 Put up the walls, jagged edges and reinforcements, then primed everything black. Running out of Rustoleum. Tomorrow is gonna be fun.
Imagen
Hobby streak day 100 Pretty uneventful for the hundredth day of the streak. Today I spent some time making the floors for the orky scaffolding.

Bloody Easter

Imagen
Hobby streak day 99 Today I tried  (and sliced  wide open) my hand at Midwinter Minis' ork terrain. Always be careful on the direction I cut things from now on. Work tomorrow. 😔

Hobby Streak Day 98 The boyz are done! How many more do we need? Say what? 👀 Don't worry we'll  get there eventually. So for these guys the process was: Zenithal, then very light green, brown and black base. Green, black and sepia wash Red tint for the leathers, gray highlights for the pants and colored (blue, orange and white) dots for the muscles. Three tones of green for the muscles Metalic edge highlight for the weapons Yellow glaze for the skin Brown and bone for the teef and nails White, red and orange for the eyes

Hobby streak day 97 I actually started with this guy yesterday, just the basic three colors, green, black and brown. This was the first ork I put together, and I hate how the arms and head turned out. Live and learn. I spent about 4 hours on him today, but I'm not that happy with the end result. Fresh eyes might help. Tomorrow he joins his buddies, and I'm done with the boys part of the start collecting box. Nobs next.

Hobby streak day 96. Done with Big Shoota Boy! What a way to start Easter. Spent around four hours on him today. My favourite so far.  Tried a little wetblending on the arms for the first time! Happy with that, gotta remember that to smooth color transitions. And loving the pink hair. I wanna paint a noise marine someday.  Tomorrow, for the nob!
